    Just for info:
    QED-UK.COM £283.62
SUPERFI will, if asked, better this price i.e. £282.00 but 10-14 days delivery. These speakers had 5 blue stars in whathifi what would they give them now at £282!!??

    Bye

5 blue stars and a trip to Superfi.

I'd stick with QED, quicker delivery (usually).

I'd rather choose superfi - for one their website inspires me with more confidence :D

Superfi also *seems* to be the more reputable - after-sales wise.

I'm waiting - seeing as I'm waiting for my amp to be in stock anyway.

Sure... if you can get the price cut from a Superfi store, take it. Forget online messing if you can do this.

But if you're only talking online, I'd say QED is as reliable as Superfi, and a whole lot quicker.

Personally I wasn’t to keen on Superfi.
I ordered mission cinema 72 from Superfi’s website on the 26/1/02 expecting them to arrive within the 3 to 10 days stated on the website and after several phone calls I found out that they don’t have any in stock and are waiting for there stock from mission.
Being impatient on the 13/2/02 I asked for a definite deliver date they couldn’t give me one so I ended up canalling the order.
In the end I got some mission m74’s, m7ds and a m7c1 and they sound fantastic.

Now that I've got my amp (hopefully) I'm going to buy this set of speakers.

One thing I've noticed about QED is that I don't think it collects and returns a product in the event of a repair, as superfi does.

    Any clarification?

This is what I got in reply when I e-mailed Superfi concerning the stock:

    "Hi,
Sorry we have sold out and are currently awaiting an incoming date from Mission."

They sell the speaker components seperately. If you were to buy them seperately, m72's, m7ds and an m7c1 would set you back £325.

They might price match on that.

    Somehow... I doubt it.

Their best offer for a DB1070 (despite their "beating prices", etc. claim) was £450.

Will QED pick up, repair, and return if something is broken? As superfi does?

    Their response was:

"In response to your e-mail, depending on what size the product is thats faulty, we would send an engineer out on a warranty call for larger items. If the item was to be sent back to us, you would pay the post and packing fee, this would then be refunded upon reciept of the item."

hifijunkies will do the 72 cinema pack (bought as separates!) at £283 for me. You'll will have to ask HIFIJUNKIES yourself if you want the same deal!

    Cheers and good luck
