Just bought some 77ds rears sound great to me!

Fitted with 73 centre and Wharfedale modus 8's.

You need to listen to them yourself though.

The chairman of the Mission Fan Club will be along shortly to tell you that they are the bargain of the decade.

I also have the same rears with my Marantz 6200 and they sound good to me also.

No worries. I am here, albeit in my extremely drunken state. This is indeed a very good deal, and one I would recommend a listen to anyone interested in an AV package.

Can't say enough positive things about the 77ds rears.

I entertained a Marantz with these speakers myself. Believe me, you will not be dissapointed.

As always, trust your own ears though. Not mine.

The edit was to just add that bit on. Haven't changed any of it. Did quite well considering the :D state I was in at the time.

Eight hours in the pub... dear oh dear.

How my head hurts this morning.

    Hi

Thx for all the posts can't wait to listein to the cinema 7's.

Do you think the 90w supplied from the Marantz 5200 is enough or should I consider upgrading to the 6200 which supply's 110w.

What are the latest price's on the 5200 & 6200.

    Thx, in advance.

SR5200 is about £350 end price from Empire Direct.
SR6200 is about £440 from HiFiBitz.
    Info taken from www.price-guide.co.uk .

Might be worth a listen and considering.

Not after sympathy, just money. Poor bank balance of mine. I'll take the fry up though. I'll even pay P&P for it, so long as you don't send it by Royal Mail, they shake everything up.

Being a previous owner of the Cinema 7 set up - well i say previous owner as i still own them all thanks to Richer sounds - have just changed the front three speakers to Ruarks and had a buyer lined up for the Mission - then 2 days later Richer offer brand new package for HALF PRICE !!!!!! so im not going to sell them now - no point as they r good speakers and i wouldnt let em go for anything less than 1/2 price.

having said they r good speakers they are limited in certain areas - bass being one of them, however youve got your sub for that :) i was using them with Pioneer 626D DvD and Denon AVR 3300 amp

Of all the speakers id say the rears are the best - im still using them with £1,000 front speakers and a £400 center.

Guess what im trying to say is that for the price richer sounds have them this package is an excellent bargain.

I brought the Cinema 7 pack a couple of years ago, when it was £800 from Sevenoaks HiFi. In my room 15*14 it sounded great.

I bi-wired the fronts (rotel RB-970), preouts to power amp and this made a big difference - extra grip and punch - over my Denon AV 1600 (poor thing needs replacing soon). I used the Denon to power the Centre and rears.

I sold the Missions to a friend for £400 as I was after even more bass from the fronts.

Buy them. At that price you cant go wrong.

I would like to add my thanks as well!
Sitting on the side and reading all the info on this thread, it has helped me considerably also.......
I also will be getting the mission cinema 7 package.

although unfortunatly I have missed out on getting the 5200 at £305...... (its now gone up to £360)..... so if anyone out there knows of a 5200 at a price a bit nearer the £305 mark I would be most greatfull if you could post it here.

    Regards JOHN P C

    Very many thanks, mancubas.

Nottingham is the only branch that has a complete set throughout most of England... So Ive put my name on them and will be collecting them in the morning..

I havent been to Nottingham for well over ten years......

and was wondering if you have any suggestions about where to park?
My Wife is Disabled so at least we have the advantage of a disable badge..... but even with that there are still restrictions on some roads.

    Kind Regards JOHN

    Hi

Excellent, what colour have you reserved.

The only colour I could lay me hands on are the black, I am not very happy about this since I had set my heart on cherry, they are trying to source me some thou.

The nottingham branch must be the smallest in the whole of the UK, I can guarantee you will struggle with a wheel chair.

Taking your wife into the branch is not a good idea.

Parking is also a nightmare, if u are lucky there maybe a space in the road side pay and displays right opposite the branch.

I think there website has a map.

Good Luck, tell me how u get on.

    Regards

Many thanks..... The latest advert in "What Hi Fi" gives the extra discount for Rosewood....... so Im going for that..... Im not sure if im going to like it though...... we are traveling up from just north of Stratford upon Avon...... so its a bit of a treck....... Originaly I was after the black as last months What Hi Fi had the extra discount for the black.......

Dont know if youve noticed that!......
they seem to give the extra discount for a different colour each month...... So if they change yours for Cherry will you have to pay the extra £50? making the total cost £429.95

Ive phoned all the branches in the Midlands & North of London and none have any complete sets of one colour except Nottingham so we dont have a lot of choice at the moment.
Birmingham had two in yesturday morning but both went straight out the door before I could get through on the phone.

This particular pack seems to be like gold to get hold of just now.

My son is trying to get his hands on a set as well.

    Kind regards
    John

    Hi

What amp are you going to be connecting with the Cinema 7's.

I shall be picking up a Marzantz 5200 (G) from HiFJunkies at the end of this month, everybody on this forum thinks it the bomb.

Hi just returned from Nottingham..... Had a very nice run there and back.... no problem parking..... they gave me a cup of coffee which was most welcome..... Im sure they said the only other one they had in stock is a cherry colour....

Im delighted with the Rosewood colour.

Ive been researching for an amp, but havnt really made my mind up for sure yet........ Have there been any write ups about the
    Marantz 5200, do you know?

    Hi

Does this mean you don't have a amp for your brand new Cinema7's.

I am struggling to find a on-line write up, if you manage to find please send me the URL.

I dont have a proper AV amp at the moment.......
Ive got a 5 year old Toshiba 33inch TV with surround sound...... and Ive been feeding the front L&R sound through my old midi Hi Fi amp and speakers up to now......

The rear speakers that came with the TV are just rubbish.

So an AV Amp/Receiver is now a high priority!

Very good write up of Marantz 5200 in one of this months AV mags, I can't remember which one I was just browsing in Smiths.

I have only read good things about this amp, I've not heard it though.

I agree, how can you lie about the price if she has seen it.
