any 1 have this if so are they any good views plz
I've got one and it's absolutely the best centre I've ever heard. An absolute steal for the original £200 price, let alone the more usual second hand prices these days.
EDIT: Make sure you don't confuse it with the earlier 77C model which by all accounts isn't anything like as good although I've not heard one personally.
Yup, three tweeter heaven
thanks guys yep its the 3 tweeter centre ive got at home now i work for sony and we had a set in 1 of other stores going for £99 hopefully i will be able to get it a bit cheaper will set it up later hand have a listen thanks again
Hi, just curious, at the back of the 77C1 on the sticker, does it actually say 77C1 or 77C? I just bought one and it has the dual woofer (not ABR) but the sticker only says 77C....
Hyperfi were selling the newer and superior 78c for £99 (ex display), they were originally priced at £350 and sound amazingly clear.
That is indeed the case and has been the source of much confusion before now. As you say, it's easy to spot the difference as the 77C1 has 2 active drivers whilst the 77C has an active driver and a passive radiator. There was also the short-lived 77C2 which was designed to match the larger 77 series speakers but it never really took off and apparently sounded worse than the 77C1.
Don't know if it helps anyone but I've just spotted an outfit on Ebay selling the 78cse with a start price of £150 and buy it now for £250. Looks like nobody hits buy it now so you could probably get one for around £160ish!
I have a Mission 78CSE you could have for £150.
