Before I call Vodafone and tear them all new bottom holes, can anyone tell me what *\Missing Text\* means and what might cause it? I've had this twice today on the same message sent to the same person.

As above, we really need some more information... most importantly, what handset are you using?

Normally "Missing Text" indicates that you are receiving a concenated message and either:-

    a) Your phone doesn't support multi-part messages
    b) It does, but you haven't received all of them (i which case Vodafone may be at fault)

In both cases though, the issue is only when receiving messages - you imply that the problem is when sending - right?

Phone is an iMate JAM, and this was when sending a short message to my girlfriend. She has a Motorola V-something-or-other.

Seems to have been specifically related to that one message, which gave the same error no matter how many times I sent it. Other texts have been ok. Strange.

it looks like the sms has been truncated. is the sms more than 160 characters?

i asked if it was a sony ericsson because a lot of their phones seem to experience lots of problems concerning sms and mms on vodafone and o2.

No. It was a short message. Probably about 40 characters.

Must just have been an oddity. Hasn't happened since.
