I have the above tv, and it looks awesome, but i have a strange problem. I have my digital sat plugged into the 2nd scart socket with rgb enabled, but we noticed that some of the picture is missing from the top, e.g. the skynews logo touches the top of the screen, as do other logos. If any of you guys have auction world you will notice a logo that has a cell phone, the antenna of the cell phone is missing. (not correct)

Now i know this is wrong as i used to have a 28" sony tv 4:3 and the logo on auction world fitted in correctly.

I have tried covergence this made no difference.

This set is going back as it failed on sunday morning after it was delivered on sat afternoon.

    My setup

sony kp44 set to wide (covergence tried various times)
digital sat set to 16:9 and rgb on
    digi box on rgb 2

Also i have noticed that i cannot change the noise reduction or sharpness settings even though my setting are personel, i got a feeling the tv is faulty (well it is cuz it turns it self off every-so-often)

I have ordered a replacement from empiredirect, but my dad has told me unless the picture issue can be sorted out we wont be keeping this set.

please help cuz i love it.

and i hope the above makes sense and you guys can help me out

    :(

Sounds like the picture is "over-scanning" - quite a common fault on domestic TVs.

If it comes back working again, mention it to the engineer and ask him to fix it.

He won't like it, as many engineers prefer an over scan to a black line, but persevere and get it fixed.

This is all assuming it wasn't set to one of the "zoom" widescreen modes of course....

no this tv is going back to comet and staying there, i have ordered another one from empiredirect and it will arrive on monday.

The tv is set to wide, but whatever you set it too, the logos are to far at the top and you get the impression that your watchin tv a on bowl screen (non-flat)

Surely this cant be right??? any light anyone

I dont have sky and i dont have any picture problems with logos etc. If I remember correctly isnt sharpness and nr only available to change on certain broadcasts and settings. Unless im thinking of somthing else.

Its not just on sky, its anything that has a logo, it seems to far up it almost touches the top.

Not only that it gives the effect of a warp the text/logo on the screen, weather its sky, or normal arial tv.

And the NR and sharpness are ghosted, even though its on personel settings.

Shaun is right. I have the PX2 and can't adjust NR or Sharpness whenever I use RGB. It works fine otherwise. I'm not sure why it does this though...

still no mention of the logos appearing to far up, or the picture looking curved.

i just hope its this box and not a quirk of projection tv`s

Is you digital tv set to 16.9 or 4.3.
could this be a problem if you had it set to wide but actually were viewing in 4.3 so to speak.?

I have set it to wide (16:9) and its set to wide on the digital sat

if i set it to 4:3 on the tv it has the big black bars down the side.
if i set it to 4:3 on the dss you get the black bars at the top and bottom.

is that correct i think its right but let me konw if i am wrong

set to wide on the tv, and 16:9 on the sat, there is no doubt about the settings

but that still dont explain the curve in the picture
