I'm going to rent some DVDs to test my new DIY sub creation this week - Would anyone be so kind as to save me from having to endure the whole of Minority Report again and let me know the whereabouts in the film of the "Sonic Gun" scene

Also - any other "classic" sub testing movie scenes?

FWIW - In terms of surround sound testing - The surface to air missile chase in "Behind Enemy Lines" is the best thing I have encountered so far... Not a bad lads movie either, with added amusing Bosnian scally baddie in shellsuit factor.

    Cheers

The dragon's wings near the end of LOTR 'Twin Towers'.

The arival of the rescue ship near the end of 'Matrix Reloaded'.

There are loads more. But these two are particularly memorable and very easy to find! :D

Star Wars; Attack of the clones.

You get the THX intro the 20th Century Fox music and then the mother of all bass with the incoming ship.

This scene is fully guaranteed to sort the wheat from the chaff as it is a notorious 'sub killer'.

And of course there is *that* scene in The Haunting DTS-ES :)
Deepest bass I have ever heard, period.

Plus of course Finding Nemo. Don't neglect music, there's as much testing music out there as there are testing soundtracks.

**Fondly remembers the budget sub test**
