minor problem

Does anyone out there have a similar problem?
For some reason when i'm recording two programmes at the same time, my box misses lots of channels. By that i mean if i search the channels it skips from say 101 to 114 until one of the programmes finishes recording.
As yet it hasn't been to much of a problem but annoying all the same.
Any ideas.
