    Hi,

I'm stuck between buying the Minolta DIMAGE X20 and the Fuji Finepix A303.

The Fuji has an extra mega pixel (3mp) but the Minolta has sound with the video and looks a bit more compact.

Any opinions on which is the best buy. Both cameras get good reviews.

    Thanks,
    Matt.

Whilst I can't comment on these particular models, I would say that having had a Fuji Finepix 2800, the results were excellent, BUT, and this is a big but, Fuji don't offer any different compression ratios on the jpg's they produce (even in the new S7000) and the amount of compression they use is very high. Whilst this means you can get lots of images in a small amount of space, you do tend to notice 'noise', especially if you zoom in to parts of the photos. It's a real shame, because the sharpness and colouring of the Fuji Photos are superb.
