The Minions get their own movie in this prequel to the original Despicable Me.
Read the review.
In the reverse of the argument in the Jurassic Park review, does anyone think that children taking their parents to so this movie are guilty of parental abuse.
In short, does anyone who has seen this movie think that parents may be traumatised by being taken to see this film ?
Sandra Bullock seems to alternate between very good films and not good ones.
An opportunity wasted
I enjoyed despicable me 1&2 , hopefully this is in the same vein,
I enjoyed 1&2 as well and to be honest recognised people I work with
There was a lot of people watching this tonight, I'm talking fully grown adults wearing Minions t-shirts !
DM 1 was brill. 2 was naff. Will wait for the 4k blu
It was pretty poor.... for adults. The kids had a blast though. (Its target audience)
A good point, the DM films covered kids of old ages.
I have to admit I was disappointed. I brought two 5 year olds yesterday and there wasn't many laughs out of them, maybe more from me as I got more of the jokes than they did.
I enjoyed DM 1&2 but this is nowhere near as good. Maybe I was expecting too much. I think a real opportunity missed to make an excellent spin-off.
totally agree with the above. Not a patch on DM1 or 2. Thought Herb Overkill was a poor mans Vector.
It's like How To Train Your Dragon, the second was just a sequel. Not much in itself.
Taking the family this evening. Not getting my hopes up....
Just back from seeing it and the kids enjoyed I personally feel it's a 3 or 4 out of ten and a seven is certainly generous
Just got back myself and it was OK, but nowhere near previous standards.
Sadly, by far the best bit was the trailer for the 'The Secret Life of Pets' which made me and the wife laugh like drains.
I'd agree on those numbers. Thought it was awful, my 12 year old thought it was good (usually you hear great not good from her) and my 5 year old was bored silly despite loving DM1&2. The first half was pretty much the trailers
Just an update. My youngest now doesnt like the minions at all now as they "aren't funny" after this film. I know kids can be fickle but seems they broke her love after this borefest
My 46(?) year old Doctor Who loving friend (whose favorite movie is Withnail & I) loved Minions. Should I recommend a trip to the shrink?
Who will have all the Minion figures?
Yes. It's utter drivel.
Absolutely spot on. This is a film with absolutely zero adult/ family appeal; its a happy-meal advert pure and simple.
I can't in all honesty blame my two, as it was my idea to take them. But if they think dad is going to fork out for the 3d bluray of this turd they've got another think coming!
I quite liked it, better than DM2 nowhere close to DM1. 7/10
My friend's baked a cake for a friend
Is that Minion giving the finger !?
