MiniDV capture to PC - audio downgraded to 32k?

I recently decided to transfer all of my new and older minidv tapes to the computer digitally (using my canon md235 camcorder). After i captured most of them, i discover a very weird thing.

All of the tapes have 16bit/48k audio recorded (also confirmed on the camcorder screen while playing). But the AVI videos on my hard disk all appear to have 32k audio!

I thought it might be a software problem, so i tried some of other programs to capture, but still the resulting audio is 32khz!

Could it be the camcorder that is causing this?

On my panny I can choose 48 or 32 the latter being for 4channel to enable audio bubbing and retaining the original audio.Perhaps something similar ?

Thanks for the reply :)

No, it seems this is not the problem. I have always set the camcorder (and the ones i have used in the past) to 16bit/48k. I have never recorded anything with 12bit/32k at all.
