I haven't seen any mention of this on here, the Mini PHEV - Countryman Cooper S (or the shortest name in cardom).

My other half got one back in November-17. She loves it from the disco internal lights to the stripes on the bonnet.

Basically we run it as an electric car, plugging in every day as she just does the shopping trips etc type stuff.

We can get to Birmingham from Solihull and back on a full charge (just).

Mini cocked up the pricing and we got about £6500 off the price when we bought it!!

    Any questions please feel free.

Thanks, looking at a few reviews: an interesting combination. FWD petrol and RWD electric.

0-60 6.8secs, rwd, fwd &4wd, depend upon mode. Even has a mode called go-kart.

16 miles or more on battery. 70p to fill the battery.

Full electric mode, full petrol mode or both are available. 9 driving modes basically.

I like it. But like with a lot of these models it depends on where you live whether it is any good.

For us, we wouldn't even be able to her into the nearest town on electric only. Let alone getting back as well.

Agreed, we live in the burbs, so the all electric range is sufficient. The petrol+ electric range is over 300 miles.

People need to get a grip sometimes. The latest Tesla launch has a range of 600,000 miles ;)

    Edit, can't come back though...

    Where's the go-kart mode?
Still getting to grips with our after having had an i3 pure electric for 4 years. 1 week in I'm enjoying it, but was so used to the BMW I'm struggling with all the options to get the best balance.
Would like the nutter mode for the one occasion a day I have a junction that is difficult to get out of with a bit of speed boost! It feels slow compared to the i3 and it should be quicker

You need to select using the 2 switches at the bottom of the centre console. There are 4 rocker switches to choose from. Sorry I am not in it at the moment to tell you more accurately.

Thanks for that. I’d used the sport button a couple of times but I’m sure I never got that go kart text!

    Will look again

Yep rocker is the same but when I put it in sports mode I just get a message about it being the dynamic driving mode

Do you have the JCW pack ( I don't)? wonder if it's part of that. Not that it's an issue as it seems to do the same thing but would explain why I went blank when you mentioned a go-kart message!

There are 3 modes, on the rocker switch. 1 down and 2 up I think, try pressing the switch up twice.

    No JCW pack.

Models built about a month after also have slightly different software.
