Mini hifi: Choose Marantz CR-601 or Denon D-M35?

I´m looking to replace my existing setup with a mini hifi. The speakers are Minipods.

The two mentioned systems can be had for about the same price - Marantz has a slight lead in my book, because of design (I have not seen any of them IRL yest though), and a feeling that Marantz is a notch up the ladder in terms of quality.

Feature- and connectionwise, there does not seem to be any big differences.

The Denon can play WMA files - Is this to prefer over MP3 in this kind of setup? (format-newbie-question )

Which would you choose (have chosen perhaps?) and why?

Have you looked at other makes such as Onkyo and Teac?

I kept the list as short as possible on purpose, but now you mention it, I have also considered Onkyo and Teac, but very limited presence here in Denmark.

Denon S-81 also under consideration by the way.
