Are there any firewire enabled video recorders on the market? To put some edited camcorder data onto SVHS/VHS from the PC, you seem to have to record it to the camera and then play it back using S-Video to VHS. A direct, digital firewire, solution would seem much better.

I did find the JVC HRDVS3EK, which is an SVHS and Mini-DV video recorder, which I liked, but it was £750 which is a bit OTT really.

    Kind Regards,
    Shane Cook.

Why not get a capture card or graphics card with S-video out?
You can then go directly from your PC to any video recorder.

Use the Firewire output to the camera and the S-video or composite camera outputs to record to VHS/S-VHS. There should be no need to record and play back, use the camera as a convertor
