    So Nintendo drop a 'direct outta nowhere' on us. Some absolutely great stuff. Off the top of my head they announced;

    * Dark Souls Remaster (launching 25th May)
    * The World Ends with You
    * Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze
    * Ys 8
    * Payday 2
    * Mario Tennis
    * Kirby Allies
    * Hyrule Warriors
    * New SMO DLC
    * New character (Donkey Kong) in Mario Rabbids
    * A Dragon Quest Builders demo (live now)
    * SNK Fairy Pink Tag Team Pillow Fighting

    Some brilliant stuff there!!

    What are you excited for?

    Cracking mini Direct in my opinion, Hyrule Warriors, Ys VIII and Dark Souls are must haves. Payday 2, World Ends With You and DKC are all very good if you haven't played them on another console. I don't think I'll double-dip on those myself though.

    Great to see more info on Kirby and the Mario + Rabbids DLC. Mario Tennis, hmmm... I'll wait and see what the reviews are like, been burned too many times by lacklustre sequels. Fe looked very good. Shame they didn't show off a few more Indie games.

    Interesting that this was a mini Direct, I wonder if they have another planned for next month. If they stick to their normal schedule we won't get another Direct until April/May. That one usually has the smaller announcements that they don't want overshadowed by the big E3 reveals (which I suppose this year will be mostly about Metroid Prime 4, Smash Bros and Animal Crossing?).

    From what I heard, we are due another "Nindies" very soon too - which would make sense that they barely mentioned any here when its been such a big focus. And with stuff like Owlboy coming soon, would definitely make sense to focus on them seperately.

    Makes sense, might also mean a mini direct for 3DS seeing as they skipped that this time.

    I think Nintendo have had some fun with this mini direct, the Internet was going crazy for it. It’s been fun actually reading all the comments.

    I’m torn between feeling happy and disappointment if I’m honest :rotfl:, there was no mention of VC, no mention of Metroid or Yoshi. No mention of Bluetooth headphones :D Not sure another warriors game was the best choice to port, maybe it’s just because it’s not my type of game. Would have preferred Wind Walker HD or even a remaster Mario sunshine/64 or is that asking to much :p

    Although I’m happy about darksouls and and Mario tennis will be fun, date for Kirby is good news aswell. Hopefully there’s more to come!

    Judging by what's been found I think we may see a main Direct within the next 3 weeks - Nintendo have done Mini Directs before and followed them with a Main Direct almost 3 weeks later;

    Expect another Nintendo Direct soon – every Direct Mini so far has been followed by a full one a few weeks later

    Watch this space ;)

    I can never understand why they seem to prioritise Mario Tennis over Mario Golf, I'd suggest the later would be far better received. Still can't believe there was no Mario Golf on either Wii or WiiU.

    Couldn't agree more. I loved Nintendo's Tennis game on the GameCube but I really liked Mario Golf (GameCube) more. Superb game imo and equally as good as Everybody's Golf. A HD remake for Switch would be very welcome indeed ;)
