Is this car a standard car or do you need to buy it as an extra?

Put me down for a provisional place mate. No clutch? I wouldn't mind using my new h-shifter for these.

I know, I normally use clutch but I'm just trying to keep it so everyone is on par with one another. It's very easy to short shift with the clutch.
If it means people can't use there wheel and pedal setups then ill change it, Ive got a pad so don't know how the wheel setups work.

    yes, sign me up.

I'd check you if you can force TCS on in the lobby? you might be able to disable it I.e. force off, but not force on. If you can't force it, I'd leave it open so that you have choice otherwise there is no way of knowing if these dirty flatshifter/h-shifters are cheating ;)

I'll try and put some time aside tonight to get one up and running!

As they are S class, do they have enough oomph for the longer tracks or are they best suited to the shorter twisty ones?

I'm in, but I'll go TCS off if that's ok.

An S Class mini is going to be pretty rapid.

An H-shifter is just the name for the standard type of gear shifter as seen in your normal road car. You can buy it as an add-on for Fanatec wheels. Great fun, very immersive but a lot of work to use.

Really i want everyone to have the same settings, like i say i want the race night to be down to individual driving skill so we can really compare how good we are against each other. We haven't had a night yet where were all driving exactly the same.
I did try it with tcs off but the mini just went in a straight line at the corners. :)

just trying something a little different to other race nights:) thought i would max the upgrades aswell so there could be no little sneaky leaving a compulsory upgrade out and putting another in if i set it at a lower class. Like i say i would like eveyone on par with one another:smashin:

when you say max upgrades, is that just for things like brakes, weight reduction, diff, gearbox etc or does that include all engine mods to be race spec as well?

Everything mate, just no body kits or wings. Wheels have to be as stated, this is so you can paint them but everyone has the same weight wheels. Rim size left alone.

Hmm, S class mini's werent exactly what i was expecting it to be, FWD with that amount of power and zero downforce will be, lets say interesting, even if your making TCS mandatory. The races will put a new definition to the word 'understeer'.

Put me down as a maybe for now as wednesdays can sometimes be a bad night for me.

Yeah, I'd maybe consider scaling back the power a little or add the front and rear wings to add a bit of grip.

Perhaps lose some of the engine upgrades and just stick to the stock engine. Or just limit it to a few bhp upgrades like the race exhaust & flywheel which also reduce weight.

It's worth considering mate if that helps make the cars a little more driveable.

I always do race exhaust as a first upgrade as it makes the zoom zooms sound better :)

I'm happy to go with the Redboy's idea but i think the easiest way of keeping everyone on a level playing field is to race stock and force assists.

everyone just picks a bog standard mini, does no upgrades at all and isn't allowed to tune it either.

that's another way of making it a level playing field.

Hopefully I can have a play tonight, misses permitting.
The quick go I had this morning I liked it, sounded great and was good fun, even turned decent. I quite liked the back end slipping out a little.
Has anyone tried the car with the upgrades? Just wondered what they thought.

Oh:laugh: sorry I rushed it this morning, I might of had side skirts on which I forgot to take off. Try putting them on to see if it bumps it up to 627, if it does let me know and and ill reduce it to 626.
