Question mild, occasional flickering

So I've just bought a new projector (Acer HD6522BD), set it up and it works really nicely. I have a 3.5mm cable running from the projector to my loudspeaker and a wifi dongle that draws its power directly from the projector. Surprisingly, setup was rather easy, my phone could be mirrored without a problem.

The only issue is that occasionally the projected image flickers slighty in certain situations. Mostly there was no flickering but when there was a panoramic outdoor scene (lots of greenery and mountains) or scenes in the forests, the image seemed to flicker.

Would you have an idea as to the cause of this situational flickering? Is the power draw of the wifi dongle a bad idea, and could it cause this? Is it something about contrast in panoramic views or shadow in forest settings?

I'd appreciate your opinions.

Best,
