    Babelfish says;

    For the first time ProSiebenSat.1 realizes the live-uebertragung of a sport large vent in High definition. For the transmitter on 25 May 2005 the UEFA champion League final from the Atatuerk Olympia stadium will transfer Sat.1 into Istanbul between the FC Liverpool and the AC Milan in highly soluble HDTV (High definition television). Spectators, who have suitable receivers, can experience the crucial match of the best European football teams thereby not only in the conventional dissolution of standard, but also in singular brilliance and with crystal-clear pictures. Beside the national SD signal, which produces the ProSiebenSat.1 production in the Turkish metropolis for Sat.1, the enterprise takes up parallel the World feed (the world signal) in High definition, which is made available of the UEFA. The radiant emittance is made by the transponder 16 on the frequency 11,4355GHz vertically on ASTRA19.2° east. Franc Meissner, Director operation the ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG and managing director of the ProSiebenSat.1 production: "after the successful HDTV Testausstrahlungen of the last months I am pleased that we with the UEFA champion League final can set again a completely special highlight and likewise realize this sporty Topereignis of the yearly in High definition."

    ...I think the fish got dislodged during the translation - hence the transfer back to the native tongue of the piece during certain parts. :D Reminiscent of the infamous Not the Nine O'Clock News sketch where Rowan delivered a vital speech about the earths destruction - only to find crucial elements in the translation were lost due to problems with the translator!! :rotfl:

    fantastic news :) Only issue maybe getting some English audio to sync, footie can be pretty quick at times and I remember watching some Euro 2004 on German channels cos they didn't have the silly side bars that we go there, but there was a slight audio delay when trying to sync English commentary to it and it was very frustrating.

    It looks very soft here, using an HD projector and a 112” screen. Those few Euro 2004 games we managed to get in HD last year looked far better than this.

    The 1080i EBU world feed is on Eutelsat W3A at 7° East, by the way, although it’s encrypted... The video PID there is running at a whopping 33 Mbps, as opposed to Sat1's 18 Mbps. Still, I doubt it would look much better -- the problem here might be the cameras themselves.

    Cheers.

    It looked good but not as good / sharp as the Astra HD or HD 1 feeds. I was all set to record it but then I thought of the large file size ;-)

    I'm sure a LIverpool fan has rec it ? I'm the one in the UK who is not a football fan ;-) I think it's safe to say this on here!
