Ok, i seem to be going thru a home cinema mid life crisis.
i have just upgraded my trusty TAG processor to a new younger model the Arcam AV8 and i now find my gaze turning to my amps.
For the last 3 yrs i have been running Arcam P85 amps. The sound with my new AV8 is great...no fantastic, but i still have that little voice at the back of my mind going "upgrade, u know u want to!!"
So i have been wistfully thinking about keeping the P85's for the rears in a 7.1 set up and getting 3 new Arcam P1 mono blocks for the front. The P7 is just tooooo big!!
Question is what advantages would i get with better amps over my trusty P85's.
Somebody try and talk me out of this!!!! or not!!!!

    Cheers
    Andy

I think you've already convinced yourself!.....for a start though....more headroom, better definition and control etc....just be sure to try several amps with your system in your own home before buying.
