Microsoft to severely curtail PVR use

    Seems like the current situation where one can record TV programs and have them permanently available is about to end, if this press release is to be believed .. assuming European broadcasters implement the 'copy flag' like the FCC have mandated in the US, and I can't believe Sky won't.

    I don't record TV, I rarely watch it, but many round here building HTPCs and buying MCE systems should be consider the implications I think.

    actually MCE 2005 is very good for recording off air.

    has worked flawlessly for me, for months, picture quality is superb
