My Xbox was suddenly taken ill last week...the diagnosis was not good. A US network card - which meant no Live for me :censored: :thumbsdow
Phoned the XBox team on Thursday last week to arrange repair. On Friday, an empty box was left at my house with instructions on how to pack up the console, a return label and tons of padding to prevent further damage.
XBox was collected on Monday afternoon, and I received an e mail from Microsoft on Tuesday morning telling me they were in possesion of my XBox...he was in critical condition, but they thought they could save him...
Wednesday morning I received an e mail telling me that Colin the console was out of danger and he was gonna pull through. That same afternoon, I received another e mail telling me that he was on his way home in perfect health and gave me the tracking number etc so I could watch his journey home...

In all seriousness, this is what customer service is all about...I'm under no illusion that mine was the only sick console but it was repaired and returned within 2 days...

Well done and thank you to all involved in Microsoft customer services...back online this weekend me thinks...with Toca Race Driver waiting in the wings...

It's great when a plan comes together. (I think I've heard that some place before) :)

It's nice to here good comments and news about customer care.Especially MS as they do get a lot of unneccessary flak IMO.
Well done and hope Colin does indeed still work.

They are really good if your pads break as well!

You'll get a replacement within a week! And you do not have to send off your faulty one, if you know what i mean ;)
