I am looking for a micro system for my kitchen and would appreciate any recommendations. It has to be relatively cheap and I only need a CD/tuner system - forget about the tape deck. As I have a full separates system in a dedicated music room I only want a small system. Nothing too expensive please.

I would go for the Denon D30 micro system - looks and sounds good

Another vote for the Denon, you should be able to pick it up online for £250 with speakers (and I'm sure I've seen it in Currys for a similar price).

I'm also hunting for a kitchen system, though I'm trying to find something with smaller/more discrete speakers. Currys online had the Sony CMTC5 system (inc minidisc) for £250, but have now sold out.
