    Hi,

Has anybody purchsed the Miami Vice series 1 boxset and if so what is the picture quality like?

I thought about recording the series from Men & Motors, but the Picture Quality is not that good, especially in 'dark' scenes.

Just like a view so I can consider worth purchasing or continue to record.

    Thanks

i bought it from dvdimport for less than £20. The picture quality is fine (better than tv) but the extras are nothing to shout about. Worth buying.

Love the subtle changes from the initial few episodes to the established format (theme tune!!! changing the chief to the superb grumpy Ed Elmos)

Same here. Getting a bit fed up of wating for season 2 to come out though. One thing i will say about season one - the 5.1 mix - though its great to have all those old 80's tunes blasting out of my AV gear, the actual surround mix is near non-existant. My X-Files dolby surround mix (not 5.1) is a lot better (made much later of course).
