    Does the MF A3.2 CD decodes HDCD?
    Its a good player or should i buy a DAC.

    no, it doesn't do HDCD as far as i can remember

    Is still a good choice?
    Or there are others within same budget, that are better.

    well i use the a3.24 DAC which is great, and i believe the new a3.2 uses the same DAC now.....you'd have to check though.

    It's a nice machine but it has some stiff competition from the Meridian 507 and Naim CD5 around the grand mark. Also, slightly cheaper is the Marantz CD-17 or it's more expensive brother the KI SIG which are both good performers.

    In the end it's down to what you want from your music, and what you feel happy with after a demo. Personally, i would stretch for the Naim, but (and there's always a but!) it's not as well built, although still up to Naims high standards, as the MF and doesn't suit everybodys taste.

    Dem the A3.2 against the above models with disks you know well, and see what you're comfortable with.
