I've read loads of stuff about this game & it sounds awsome.
I've seen screen shot of it.
But what i'm looking for are some, good links to some video footage of this game, where you don't have to subscribe first.

    Cheers

    You don't need Video footage!!!!

Just buy the dam thing, there are no other graphics like it, PC or console. Seriously beautiful game.

    :)

I will be getting it when it comes out.
I just wanted to see some footage:)

Also do you think the graphs are better than Halo?

I have only played Halo briefly, I would say yes.

I have played Unreal 2 and the graphics were better than that.

It is not just the graphics, it is the special effects, ripple effects when you fire charge cannons, your visor steaming up in hot areas, splashes of water on your visor, explosions, morph ball trails, bosses the size I have never seen before.

Combined with the best FPS console controls I have used, and an extreme amount of depth of gamplay in a FPS environment - platforms, puzzles, storyline (which appears to be a lack of at the start but slowly builds up as you use your scanner visor), this simply has to be one of the best games out at the moment and is cerainly one of the best I have played in this type of genre.

the lighting effects are second to none as well, fire a purple beam weapon into a cave and the cave lights up purple, come out of the water and water droplets run down your visor. but best of all stand too close to an explosion and see a reflection of your own face (samus') on the inside of your visor. stunning game! yes the graphics are better than Halo. smoothest and most detailed and best quality I have ever seen.

    :)
There aren't many on here who'd get that one....
    How is "work?"

I'm also looking forward to this one but I fear I will have trouble really getting into it.
Going on what other owners have said it's one of those games that you need a good few hours each time to make headway and feel that you have achieved something.
Does anyone else agree with this?
Outside of Xbox Live I tend to grab the odd hour here and there if I'm lucky.
Maybe I need to give up Live for a while, or work...;)

    :)

In answer to the time question, I can play Metroid for an hour and can make decent progress, the saves are fairly close together or at least well placed (about 30mins of gameplay then a save point).

AC is even better, after an hour you have accomplished most of what you can for the day, the rest of it is spent carrying on doing jobs for people, fishing etc.

I am working long hours at the mo due to project deadline coming up and can find a few hours here and there to play the games.

Thanks for the reply Sinzer :)
Not that I really need too much convincing

AC is another one on my list as well, I had no idea it had any fishing in it either
If there is definately no sign of a PAL release for this then I think I'll have to succumb to a US cube.

Have most of the compatability issues been corrected now then and if so what version should I be looking at, is it 1.06?

Like most things Freeloader is something I know very little about

I'm not entirely sure either...

Don't have one myself as I've got a modded Jap cube, but I think all problems with current games (notably Resi Zero) have been solved with version 1.06 (or 1.06b).

If you count the freeloader as an investment for loads of future games too, then you can pick up Metroid for about £30 (possibly lower depending on the exchange rate) on dvdboxoffice.com.
