Been on wikipedia and looked at album track listing and I can't find a album with whisky in the jar on it. Is this only available as a single and if so where can I get it from. Thanks in advance

Great album, been playing a fair bit of Metallica (again) lately, love that track but not sure if compares to the original.

Depends what you mean by "original"! It's a traditional Irish song recorded by loads before (I assume you mean) Thin Lizzy.

IIRC, Phil Lynott got quite p*ssed off playing it as their early chart success...ie he'd rather the crowd wanted to hear Lizzy originals (and why not? They were fecking phenomenal!)

Sorry, yes, I meant the original as in "rock" version (Metallica, I believe use the changed lyrics that Thin Lizzy wrote?) as opposed to folk. Probably should have made that a little clearer :D

Personally I prefer the Dubliners version. I also have a version by the Dubliners and the Pogues together.
