Looks too much like the PS2 version for £44.99 unless they do a MOH style multiplayer!!!

it seems as though the different platforms are getting different strains of the Metal Gear series and as such I don't think MGS3 will appear on cube or xbox

It said in the Mirror on Saturday in the games section that MGS3 Twin Snake is due for release on the Cube

I didn't think that Snake would ever turn up on the Cube ,
Let's hope it does :smashin: in MGS3

Also the screen shots are for the first MGS games which we all played & completed on the PS1 ,

Why release the 1st one on the cube , they should just release the new MGS3 when it comes out

    :D

Metal Gear Solid 3 is not Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes another example of tabloid 'experts' not knowing what they are talking about.

Twin Snakes is the first MGS outing on the cube and is sort of a remake of the playstation MGS game.

MGS3 is likely to be a PS2 title

Right ok the first MGS is getting it's remake for the Cube
Do you think anyone will buy the remake ? ? :p
as I would say that a lot of people whould have played it on the PS1 .

Also with MGS3 , will that only get released on the PS2 I don't think so as they released 2nd MGS game on the Xbox , and I think they will put on all 3 conoles at some point , Yes the PS2 will get it about 6 Months to a Year before the rest :smashin:

It's all down to ( Show Me The Money ) with the studio's

    What do you all think

    :rotfl: :zonked: :suicide:

Yea but the Xbox version was not called MGS2 was it and IIRC it wasn't the same game as MGS2 on the PS2?

The Resi Evil remake on the cube sold ok (although not as well as it should have) and was a great game, I don't know why the cube is getting all these remakes rather than original material. I suppose because a remake doesn't cost as much to develop and cube software is going to make less in sales than the other two formats.

-Well I'm certainly going to buy the remake since it's got added sections and IMO the story was far superior to MGS2. Plus FPS shooting will make the game a lot more enjoyable. Twin Snakes will be one of the best games of 2003 IMHO

-MGS3 will be PS2 exclusive - what's the problem? Look at the Xbox version of Substance; straight port, no optimisation, terrible slowdown in the Tanker section. I hated playing the game with the Xbox pad as well.

btw Kojima has said that he will try and have in-game Dolby Digital for MGS3  Now that would be impressive beyond words.

The X box game was Called ( Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance ) the same as the re-release game for the PS2 just with added VR Missions etc :smoke:

That sounds looks the same to me , that's why the sales for PS2 Substance have not done that well

    I'am I right / Wrong

The XBox version was Substance, not the original MGS2, like you correctly said.
I sold my ps2 copy of MGS about 3 weeks ago and I want it back now after watching all these trailers and videos :D

Looks like I'm going to have to buy Substance :(

    So what's changed in the game ? ? ,
Not the story that's for sure , also why did it get a release on the PS2 ? ?
So shell I keep my MGS sons and not replace it for Substance like I was going to ? ?

MGS on the Cube is all good news and I must say I would buy it , but it must have some good additions from the Original PS1 version .

Plus MGS3 on the PS2 is looking like a buy aswell :smashin:

When's MGS3 for the PS2 / MGS for the Cube due for release

    :D

Substance has loads of bonus missions/scenarios and VR training levels that the original PS2 version didn't. The actual game is identical. It's up to you if you want to get Substance or not - IMO it wouldn't be worth it. I only want it because I don't have MGS2 anymore (and I can get MGS: Substance for about £28)

I think both will be released late 2003/early 2004 based on the latest information
