Has anybody try the Black Widow on any plasma (e.g. 434)
My media box for some reason didn't come with a mains cable but i was thinking whether i should get a better one anyway.
is it that good that it's worth 75 quid?

No mains cable with my media box, either

Spent ages hunting around, accusing everyone of moving my stuff

Like you, I'd be interested to know if a pukka cable would make a difference to pq.

I have been singing this cables praises.

I have a panny 6 and swapped the supplied cable with a black widow that i had waiting for my new dvd player.

The picture gained lost the slight softness that sometimes appeared and improved the graduation.

So now i'm buying another widow for the player then :)

Is the difference noticeable to justify the 75 squid price tag?
oh, so how much did you pay for it?
i'll probably get one for the Pio 434 media box but not the DVD player.....
    cheers

after paying over £3000 on a plasma, £85 (what i paid for the cable) for an improvement that got rid of the last few reservations that i had with my plasma's performance seemed reasonable.

i checked the diff using serveral animated dvd's (graduation shows more on these), the bathroom doors in monsters inc used to show a distracting amount of "stepping". but with the widow although it's not gone it's far less noticeable and doesn't divert attention from the film.

i'm not loaded (the plasma was a one off "BIG" thing) and £85 is alot to me (ps2 games, brandy ect :)) but with IMHO it was money well spent.

Can't say you'll get the same from a pioneer as i have not ever had the chance to try it, but i can't see why it wouldn't benefit from the same.

dunno about the block, i have seen it though.

i get the impression from the magazines that it's a kind of suck it and see to all mains filtering kit as it depends how bad your supply is. Guess ours in cornwall isn't that hot.
