    II have a Meridian G98 DVD connected to the RTX 45 via a 2m HDMI to DVI cable. All the G98 menus display fine but as soon as I try to play a DVD the image is briefly displayed but then the RTX 45 becomes black with no signal message displayed.

    I assume this is the HDCP copy protection coming in to play and DOIP must not support HDCP over DVI?

    I have the G98 set as follows.

    Scaler mode = 720P
    Display = 16x 9
    HDMI mode = DVI
    Colour Space = RGB.

    RTX is set to DVI input with Pixel to Pixel selected.

    I am going to have the DOIP upgraded to HDMI in the near future, but I just wanted to play with my G98 which has just been delivered this afternoon. Oh well looks like I will have to use the component outputs.

    The DOIP's firmware is 2.11.08 R.

    The DVI input on all SIM2 products is non- HDCP, therefore you will have to exchange your DOIP to the latest spec to receive full benefit of HDMI from the Meridian - approx £800.

    Can you give any indication of the likely cost for this upgrade?
