Does anyone know when the new Meridian G-series remote will be available?

    Looks great for £85.

Done some digging of my own. According to local Meridian dealer, the first G series products will be arriving mid-Octoberish, but they have no idea which ones...

Still, that's more information than on M's website...

Got one a week ago. Very stylish.

Not sure that the 3rd party codes database is that great really and have been programming everything manually the way I want it.

Backlighting is cool, but I've noticed a low level high-pitched whine coming from the unit when the backlight is on.

However, for £85, the "one doofer to rule them all" is looking pretty good!

Oh, and the ability to change around the source buttons is really useful - Meridian supplies lots of alternatives too (including blanks).

Programming is easy. Can't be definitive about the range as I'm only 7 feet from all my kit, but it does seem to be pretty good (i.e. angle held doesn't make a difference).

Oh. The first three Meridian sources and corresponding key mappings can't be re-programmed (RTFM). Was doing my head in for ages!

    Cheers,
    Joel

    Yep.

    Have you seen this?

    Cheers,
    Joel

PS I think the feel of the older MSR keys is much better. Just thought you should know.
