Does anyone know the street price for Meridian 861 v3 processor ??
I think it would depend on what configuration you would need.
The 861 being card based has a multitude of 'add ons'...
I think a bog standard one would set you back around the £6000 mark...(not 100% sure).....although, their additional cards can be expensive.
Actually, i'm not aware of what's included in that 'standard' config..especially, as the v3 is the latest gen...
My price could be too low...better check with dealers
6k ? that's not bad, if it's true...considering Tag AV192R starter-kit costs a bit more than that.
6k....seems low indeed.
The reason I ask here is that unless I have a rough ballpark figure on the price of 800 DVD/CD player and 861 processor, dealers might rip me off.
As i said, i'm not overly sure how much the bog standard configs are for the 861 (What's a standard v3 config?).
I could be severly under-stating it's price.....?????
The v3 is their latest gen so it could be much higher
I've never actually asked a dealer what the prices are, although i think a 800/861 combination with excess card upgrades could cost you £20000+
You might want to ask this question here:
A base 861v3 chassis will set you back about £7600. The rest depends on your speakers; input requirements etc. However a typical price for a relatively standard config would be ~£10000 if driving Meridian DSP speakers and ~£10500 if you are using external amps.
