Always knew that Anthony and the Johnsons were going to win because of the unique sound that they have. But are they just a fad ? Don't get me wrong, I like the sound I'll buy the album, but what would the next album sound like ? More of the same ? Would the public go for that ?

What do you think of the winners ?

    Richie.

I like the album and am reasonably happy he won. I think that all future albums will have a fairly distinctive sound simply because of his voice. There is a fair amount of musical diversity on I am a bird now anyway. Its worth a listen at any rate.

Very much like the sound of Nina Simone with the way she used her voice. The tracks I've heard sound very powerful and so simplistic with only Anthony's voice, a piano, a viola and a cello.

I'm sure you'll hear them a little more over the next week or two.

I'll second that, thought her performance what nothing short of fabulous, effortless talent, dont you just hate some people

I must say that Anthony has a hell of strange voice but thought the song was excellent so I'll more than likely give it a go at some point.

Had the new anthony and the johnsons album a while and think its rubbish. Did the same thing with the scissor sisters a couple of years ago. Hate their music as well :D

Shouldn't this thread be in the music section?

Never heard Anthony before so can't comment on whether they/he should've won or not. Love KT Tunstall and Kaiser Cheifs so would've been happy with either of those. :smashin:
