    HI guys,

I have Movie Edit Pro 2004 by Magix and have some problems.

I need to create a DVD that:

    1> Has no menu
2> Has lots of "clips" or chapters
    3> Plays the first clip
4> Then plays the second... and so on until the last
5> and then starts from the first clip again.

When I try and do this using MEP 2004 all I get is it playing the first clip and then hanging, on the PC and a normal DVD player.

Ive tried updating the software patches etc. but no joy. Im getting fustrated over what seems should be a simple operation to perform.

Is the software too old? Should I just bin it and get something better? Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your time :)

    I have MEP 2005.

Not sure how you make the clips run all the time.

What your trying to do should be easy.

When you create a DVD make sure you only have MEP running and nothing else as background processes can muck up the encoding, so the coded movies works for a bit and then freezes.

Before you make the DVD, disconnect your modem, switch off the firewall, anti virus etc and only leave MEP running then start to encode the DVD.

When you make a DVD you will always have the first menu, once you click on that, the entire movie will be played.

If you have a main menu with a many sub-menus under it when you click on the main menu again the entire movie will be played regardless of the sub menus.

If MEP 2004 isnt working buy MEP 2005 but be warned any uncoded movies in MEP 2005 will not work in MEP 2005.

Part of Nero also encludes making DVDs, this isnt as advanced as MEP but will give you the results you want.

If you can , output your project to mpeg2 or render to DV AVI then
    use
UleadMovieFactory to make the DVD.. it can easily do what you want with very little familiarisation

ok thanks guys, ill give both options a try.

    but...

There's an option to not have any menus, and that seems to work, but for one clip only, and it doesnt loop.
