    Hello all,

My PSP is the UK model and for some reason it does not recognise this following stick:

Sony MemoryStick PRO Duo 512MB Magic Gate

Has anyone got any idea why this is?

I have been using the bundled memory stick fine.

    Thanks

PS I have tried the format option within the PSP to no avail though

Hmm.. it seems that way, here's me thinking Sony sticks are the best! I'm sending it back for a full refund.

    Cheers

Buy Sandisk, cheaper and more reliable according to various sites.

    It's what I use.

They do say they have tried to format the stick from within the PSP but to no avail.

Get a refund and get a SanDisk memory card instead. You should be able to get a 1gig for the same price!

GameSpot tests showed that the standard SanDisk is faster than the High Speed Sony. Probably to do with the fact that SanDisk make Sony cards.
