Heya guys.

Just got back from a wedding I didnt want to go to, where most the people I didnt know and I took over 500 shots with a 2GB card.

Come home to find this on the memory card

HELP.jpg

Anyone able to help :lease:

Also when I try to copy a file from the card to the desktop it comes up "Cannot Read From Source Disk"

I tried putting the card back into the camera but it comes up "No Picture"

I also have 2 files ending in 1999

I remember at the end it said 1 picture left so I took it, then it still said 1 picture left so I took another one and it still said 1 left so I left it.

I tried deleting one of the duplicates but it says it just cant read from drive.

Most are JXG extension and the file sizes are correct but its not displaying any images.

Nightmare! Is it a sandisk card? If so you could try the free Rescue Pro software . I just used it to revive the pics/vids from a card that I had accidentally reformatted. Might be worth trying the software even if it isn;t a sandisk card.
Hope you manage to get them Ok. Good luck!

Thanks man.

My feet are killing me, my back is killing me and so is my shoulder (Kink that wont **** off) and thought I would enjoy some of the pictures.

It is a Sandisk Extreme III and I am currently using the rescuepro software now but its gonna take a while.

I really feel like killing someone right now and at 2AM in the morning all I need to do is take the liscence plates off the car and go find someone and I probably will never get caught.

I remember the last count on the pics when I pressed the DISP button to display properties being around 530

This is a really bad end to a bad day if I cannot get these back.

Not to mention my uncle will be ******, well not really but I am sure he will be dissapointed.

The software took ages when I used it - with an Extreme III card as well... but it got most of them back - not all unfortunately, but it was my own stupid fault for formatting it so I have to be thankful I got any! I thought Rescue Pro had crashed at one point, because it was taking so long... so be patient if it seems like it's not doing anything. Fingers crossed.

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

SON OF A ******* ***** GODDAMNIT.

It restored all the photos in the folder I told it to and when I tried to exit RescuePro it said I/O Error so I ended task, switched back to the folder AND THEY WERE ******* GONE.

Gonna try again.

PS
Whats a quick and painless way of ending your own life :suicide: apart from firearms (I do live in the UK after all)

Odd that, had a freshly formatted Sandisk Extreme III 4Gb and it only allowed me to take 5 JPG's. Reformatted and it allowed 600+. Just glad I carry 3 of em now :)

Good luck with the recovery.

Well, had another go and this time I copy and pasted the pics to a different directory than what Rescuepro put them into and then exited.

RP deleted all the images it recovered but the ones I copied stayed.

Today is looking bit better than yesterday so far.
