As per the title, im looking to get a mate a pc on a very tight budget. But, im not used to looking at the very cheapest components, so i know not really what im after!

I have a case, i have a crappy dabs video pci card, so i need processor, MB, ram, sound. But to be honest, we would want to spend less that £150 on those lot. So does anyone have any specific recommendations on gear or where to buy it? Do any online places do deals on a 'package' so to speak?

    thanks

I think http://www.aria.co.uk do - they also have SDRam very cheap at the mo - I recently bought 256Mb for £20 - they also have a socket7 mobo for £29 with onboard sound (think this is also in their bundles). A duron 900 will cost you around £20.
For an extra £10 the ECS K7S5A is quite a nice board, and both type of memory slot for future upgrades.

http://www.ebuyer.com is also pretty cheap for stuff - free delivery on orders over £100, but I've found the service has got worse recently.
