Medion MD20099 Problem Help!

Just a quick question for the medion md20099 owners. When i view anything in high definition like my 360 through the component, the black levels seem to shift from light to dark depending what is on the screen. The same goes for my upscaling dvd player through hdmi. But anythin in standard def is fine.

For example - 360 1080i or 720p - blacks flicker
360 480p - blacks are fine.

It can get really annoying at times, i rang medion today to see if they have had any other tv's back with this problem and the guy on the phone from the technical department was an absolute tool. Was saying its not known problem, there isn't much he can do, and that and that the problem is i should have 6 plugs in my tv if viewing through component, where i was arguing that i only needed 3 (red/blue/green). And that was after waiting 15 minutes on the phone.

I'v tried messing with contrast/ brightnesss but nothing gets rid of it. Anyone else having similar problems?
