    Hi all.

I got this movie with AAC MPEG-4 audio, playing with Windows Media Player 11 works fine and it outputs in Dolby Digital 5.1 just like I have.

But in Mediaportal it just plays in stereo?
I have played with the configuration but nothing seems to help.

I have media splitter, AC3 filter, ffdshow etc installed.

AC3 and DTS movies works great in both Media Player and MediaPortal.

Any help how to get DD5.1 in MediaPortal with a AAC audio movie??

    Best regards

    Anybody please?

I configured MediaPortal to start up in a Window, played the movie with AAC MPEG-4 audio, and noticed that Hali Media Splitter, ffdshow video and ffdshow audio was started and places in the notice area.

I then started the same movie with Windows Media Player and the exact same apps was started in the notice area, but WITH DD5.1 sound??

MediaPortals internal player just can't play DD5.1 from AAC MPEG-4?

I have not used AAC but have you looked at the MP config app?

There are various settings for AAC and also some directshow filter settings. There are some settings in the MPA decoder to do with AAC and also some settings in the monogram AAC decoder.

Have you used graphedit to establish how the file is being rendered by default and how it is being rendered by MP ?
