Media Players vs Bluray

Is a blu ray player the best way to get optimum quality? Do any of the media players match the quality in terms of picture and sound?

I'm interested in this as well. I've had Popcorn Hour's for years and love them, mainly because of the jukebox interface and the performance. I'd be interested to see how a standalone bluray player would measure up against it. It's not just for playing rips, you can play full bluray iso's in it
