Media Player DOV-8E - anyone reviewed it

i've been searching around for something that will be able to access streaming sites like netflix, but also be able to access bbc iplayer and the like.

Also, something which will play everything thrown at it and which has 1080p resolution, with capabilities of building thumbnail galleries of movie collections without too much hassle.

I know there are pros and cons to every media player
as I was going to go for the
popcornhour
then the
boxee box
then the
dune hd

then I came across this

and the specs look pretty decent.
I was just wondering if anyone has come across these before and/or could link me up to a review

I've never heard of the player you linked to but being an import it almost certainly wont have access to any UK catch-up TV services.
A good player for not too much money that should do all you want is the WDTV Live SMP which can be bought for around £70. It has access to many online streaming services such as Netflix and iPlayer and has a built in video wall which is easy to set up.

I use a Dune media player and they are excellent IMO, but they lack (at the moment) iPlayer and the built-in video wall but it can be done on a PC/Mac with 3rd party programs such as Zappiti. Due players start from about £90 for the TV101

Have you heard of the dsm-310 at all? That seems to come with Netflix and the like already on there.

I was considering the dune but after researching and finding the issues you've mentioned, thought I'd carry on my search.

Never heard of that one either, but it looks to be a new one not yet released in the UK. Looking at the specs for it states:
D-Link DSM-310 Specifications | D-Link DSM-310 MovieNite Wireless HD Media Streamer (1080p)

•Movies & TV Shows
◦Netflix
◦VUDU
◦Youtube

so no mention of catch-up TV services, and no mention of a video wall or even SMB & NFS networking protocoles.
It is not yet listed on iboum so no idea exactly what it can do.

Not the way I read it.

Output Resolution: 720p, Full HD

and I would take that to mean it can output 720p and full HD, ie 1080p
