    Hi all,

I downloaded a 160MB mpeg movie clip last night (Batman Dead End from theforce.net site), but when I tried running it on my laptop it said it couldn't download the codec. I set the security to Low but it still couldn't get it.

I went on to the Windows site and downloaded/installed the WM9 codecs but this didn't seem to work.

It's Media Player 8 I'm using. I've tried Quicktime too but nothing happens. Can anyone give me any suggestions ?

    Thanks,

    Richie.

Download a free program called GSpot, this will tell you what codec you need to play the file, you can then go and download and install that codec. If it is a codec like Divx or Xvid Windows will not install it automatically, you have to get it yourself.
