    Hello All,

I am pleased to have found out about this player and its ability to handle higher definitions and would like to know if anyone uses AC3Filter in this player.

I used to use Windows Media Player Classic with it and when I compare these two players with WMPC using AC3Filter the sound seems to be slightly better.

Im not having much success getting MPC to use this codec, can someone walk me through the process please?

In media player classic go to options and then filters and then untick all of them. Then got to "Audio Switcher" menu and make sure everything in there is unticked.

Got to AC3Filter settings and make sure it is the prefered decoder.

Now, media player classic will be forced to use the system default which will be AC3.

You can check it is when your watching a movie by right clicking inside mpc screen and then go to filters.

This should really be done for all filters so all players are forced to use system default filters rather than they own built in ones.
