Media player advice needed please.

Hi all,
We are going camping soon and I am going to take either a TV or Projector with us to keep us entertained in case it rains!
So I need a media player that will play MKV files (FHD and 4K) via HDMI.
It should have a remote if possible. Internet connectivity not required but would be nice as we should get a good Vodafone signal on my router.
Movie files can be stored on whatever - USB Stick, SD Card, USB HDD or SSD - I have multiple options for that.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
It would be nice if it remembered where you were up to in a movie.

OSMC Vero4K+ if all you need is USB storage.

• will play 4K media.
• will remember last point in video.
• comes with a remote
• no server needed, box is standalone media player.
