I have started to receive the following error reporting box every 30 secs or so. It is really annoying!

Media Center Receiver Service has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience.

Can anyone help me to stop this message coming up?

    Thanks>

funny you should mention this....I read online where some MS bod said that it's likely to be a bad tuner card driver - indeed my terratec cinergy T USB XS driver was causing said problem. I narrowed it down to the actual problematic file (it's shown within the error window you're seein)...replaced with stable file - sorted.

You can prove the point by disabling your tuner card under device manager....error should stop.

Just an update here....apparently it's a buggy PsisRndr.ax and PsisDec.dll (which are in your system32 directory)

The solution is to install MCE rollup 2, or alternatively, download the two files here & slap 'em in your system32 directory.

    Job done.
