Media Center image error / scrambled!

Hi everyone,

hopefully this is simple and something to do with resolution or something, but I have setup Media Center between my Win 7 PC and my XBox 360 (original model using vga to TV at 1080p res).

When it loads up on my 360 the 'connecting' screen is fine, but once it loads the menu the picture is 'scrambled' and appears in 2 kind of bands, basically not fitting the screen and unreadable / useable.

Any suggestions?

If I press the home button then the menu for Media Center in the background appears fine, if I then press the home button to return to Media Center the image 'scrambles' again.

:facepalm::lease:

Had to change to 720p from 1080p and now it's ok, strange because my TV is 1080p Full HD.

JUst checked and my TV says that when in Media Center its only 640x480 when infact my 360 is set to 720p, hahaha, this is so crap. oh well, obviously can't watch HD content in HD with it.

I have exactly the same problem!
It seems to be quite a common bug with 360s connected with a VGA
cable.
With component and HDMI WMC will look fine apparently
