OK, I heard that the new media center update scheduled next year will allow people to do away with there digital cable box's and analogue tuner and they will be able to purchase a digital Cable card, prolly PCI and smart card reader, so they can get full HDTV on there pc with channels such as MTV and Showtime and HBO is Hi-DEf, sorry only for USA so far, but what' stopping it from working in the UK with NTL cable, apparently you can read an NTL smart card on a PC with a CI module and watch Digital Cable on your pc with a DVB-C card...so maybe just maybe, it will work for us...well just a thought...but by then HDTV will be out....damn, the US get everyting don't they....well at least they are no longer restriced to over the air ATSC for viewing Hi-Def for media center...maybe there is hope afterall...
