Is there anyway for me to my measure my ping whilst playing live games - i believe I'm getting serious lag despite halo 2 showing a 'green' bar to show my ping is ok...but my ISP wants ping figures (not an adslguide speed test which seems fine)?

Can you ping from a PC and record the figure? The results will be the same wether it's a PC, an Xbox, a Mac...

My ISP (UKO) basically reckon its a live issue (bbc ping time is c23ms- not sure if thats good or not - just ping'ed it now)

......would like to do it whilst playing to also put my mind at rest when I've had a bad game and think its ping related

There may be other factors such as packet loss and choke that are resulting in 'lag'.

Try playing an online pc game as that gives you 'real world' results on other gaming servers or D/L an extensive broadband test and that should diagnose the problem for you...
