md into car cassette player

sorry if this seems a very simple question but can i connect a portable mini disc player to the cd in socket on the the front of my car cassette player? its actually on a tractor so if i can connect it would there be any problems with skiping as i think there would be with cd? thanks a lot

you can connect anything with a headphone socket to that cd input on your headunit. neither CD nor MD should suffer from skipping if they have enough buffer memory. 30 seconds is fairly typical these days. maybe put it in your pocket and it will get some protection from the harsh vibrations of the engine, just gotta remember that its connected up before you jump out!
