Mcintosh MHT-200 A/V Controller A/V Amplifier. McIntosh Remote + Manual copy + Calibration Microphone + original packaging. (A must when transporting). Everything working and has been used as 5.1 A/V Amplifier. Can be demonstrated with current Bose Acoustimas 10 Speaker system if required. It is in cosmetically good condition.

Comes with original box and packaging. I will not courier as it weighs a significantly heavy 83lbs, and the glass front is at risk of damage.

Technical Stuff - The MHT200 features an eight-channel built-in amplifier (140 watts per channel), with six channels used to power a home theatre and the remaining two channels for second-zone use. Inputs and outputs include component, S-video, and composite video switching; and eight analog and six digital audio inputs. The MHT200 includes 24-bit DSP processing for DolbyÆ Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, and DTSÆ, plus 6.1 processing for expansion modes. A 24-bit stereo A/D converter is applied to the analog input, and four 24-bit stereo D/A converters are used at the DSP module output. The MHT200 has internal sequential switching of a noise generator for system calibration. Calibration can be performed manually, or the MHT200 will automatically calibrate the room's speaker levels and delay times with the supplied microphone. A tuner expansion slot is provided for a McIntosh TM-1 AM/FM tuner module. The MHT200 was originally available at retail price of $6,100/£4647.

I am no expert but the Macintosh does have a full set of 8 channel analogue inputs so you could decode in the player. I imagine the Macintosh will sound awesome with 5.1 also.

Sorry, too technical for me to answer. Perhaps someone with more knowledge on the subject can answer this question.

You could buy/have a bluray player with 7.1 output channels would work.

It wont for Atmos or DTS X though.

Thankyou guys, your input is much appreciated.

You say condition good, can you be a bit more specific. £900 is a lot for a pre hdmi receiver. Your also way to far from me to just come and see and listen. More pictures would help.

I’m currently in negotiations with a buyer at the moment. If it falls through, I’ll let you know.
