MCE/Sky - Exact process for updating encryption keys?

Does anyone know the exact process for updating the Sky viewing card when the encryption keys expire, by popping it back in the Sky box? i.e.

- Does the Sky box need to be on, or is standby ok?
- Does it need to be connected to the dish?
- Does it need to be connected to the phone line (I'm guessing yes)?
- Does it need to be in for a particular length of time, or at a particular time of day?
- Is it possible to insert the card, and then take a manual step to force an immediate update?

Thanks...

Standby is OK.

Absolutely.

You guessed wrong:) There is no technical need for any Sky digibox to be connected to a phone line.

I think that the re-enabling goes round in 6-8 hour cycles so if you catch it just right at your card could be re-enabled almost instantly or you could have to wait 8 hours so a mdeian would be 4 hours. I generally just pop it in overnight.

Not that I know of.
