Depends what you want to stream
In perfect conditions B is 11Mbps, given DVD can be upto 12MBps it's going to be tight. 54g (and quicker) is so cheap now anyway it would be silly not to

again depends on the quality - but saying your TV stuff is encoded at 2Mbps you should have plenty of overhead as long as your wireless is reliable.
So in theory you should be ok, I've not done this on a 11Mbps wireless though (i'm 54g through-out)

I spent a whole weekend trying to get this very thing to work. Wireless SuperG 108mbps, streaming from media center pc in lounge to xbox extender in the bedroom. It is an old house (1930's thick walls) and it wouldn't bloody work!

OK for music, photos, divx, xvid - no go with tv or ripped dvd's, stuttering all over the show... I gave up sent the wireless stuff back and ran Cat5 cable upstairs instead - works perfectly every time.

Hope you have better luck than me - or if you can run a cable, you may save yourself a lot of bother.

It must be a different problem then, my signal is now at 60% from my MCE pc after a bit of re-jigging but still my xbox extender is unusable the only thing I have added is an RGB > SVIDEO converter from maplins could that be causing interference thats the only thing I have changed on my MCE pc in ages.

I just remembered I updated my hauppauge PVR-350 drivers to latest march 2005 drivers I assume that these would be responsible for providing the extender with video feed so maybe thats it rollback I think just to make sure as I did this just before I installed the SVIDEO device. Sounds like a solution fingers crossed !

I have figured out the problem is not wireless related its to do with the extender software for xbox because when I use the unofficial XBOX media center it streams divx, mpg2 flawlessly ! yet with the extender software it breaks up constantly even on the menu.
    Anyone have any ideas ?
